Gag Orders, Response

The following statement was made by the Foundation in response to the imposition of gag orders:

“The imposition of gag orders is unwise, misguided, and unenforceable. Since its launch, this site has attracted so many visitors around the world, and so much attention, that the cat is simply out of the bag. Information about Superdad, the girls, Nana, and others has already been published, using their true identities and likenesses. They hit front page across Canada. At its peak, the platform was receiving more than two thousand e-mails every day in support of the family. Furthermore, the evolution of this site has been chronicled by the Way Back Machine and attracted some serious support from the internet “hacktivist” group Anonymous. A simple Google search and you have it all. The judges are fooling themselves if they think they can just wish it away.”

“The other factor that has to be considered is the false narrative imposed by corrupt police officers — the same corrupt cops that refused to so much as take a report from the Girls after they had been assaulted.  Detectives from the Niagara Regional Police used Facebook and other social media platforms to proclaim arrests and captures that never took place.  They inspired the press to circulate carefully selected photos of Superdad and the Girls throughout southern Ontario, even though they knew they had already left Ontario.  They framed the entire debacle as a custody dispute when it had nothing to do with custody, it was about keeping the Girls safe from abuse.  The written submissions made to the French courts were nothing short of perjury.  They even tried to keep quiet reports from friends, family and neighbours of the Girls reporting the abuse.  How did they get away with this?  Selective prosecution.  The gag orders were tied to bail, so Superdad and those in his corner were prevented from speaking.  These orders are still in place today.  While all of this will eventually come out, the damage is done.  The narrative is defined, and the likelihood that Superdad will ever get a fair trial is zero.”
