So many families find themselves under tremendous pressure during complex custody disputes, child welfare proceedings, and court battles — especially when abuse, neglect and other criminality is apparent.  Authorities turn adversarial, even combative — driven by power, driven to force — very well funded and on a mission.  Bottom line: they win, kids lose, families suffer.  Always.

Some families, a lot more than you may think, consider fleeing from Canada, and some do.  The Foundation serves the public interest with information, and supports qualified clients and their legal/communications teams with several “direct-to-client” services, at little or no cost.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.  If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat.  If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” – Sun Tzu, The Art of War, Chapter 3: “Attack by Stratagem”

Information

The Foundation offers an online reference library [HERE] featuring legal resources, research papers, checklists, risk assessment tools, and insights from individuals who have experienced the family court and child protection systems. While not every resource will apply to every case, the library provides a valuable starting point for parents seeking to better understand the system and the challenges they may face. The resource library is publicly accessible and always being expanded.  Explore the library [HERE].

Connections

The Foundation connects qualified clients and their legal teams with ‘superheros’ — people who have experienced similar situations, walked that mile, made the same tough decisions.  This is an opportunity to compare notes, gain independent perspective, and draw on lived experience not normally available in books, official reports, or transcripts.  Consider it a sounding board that invites reflection, proposes different angles, and inspires a plan.  Since this is not legal advice, or advice of any kind, connections are best arranged through lawyers to ensure proper safeguards around legal privilege.  Reach out [HERE].

Intelligence

It’s no big secret, the foundation collects, analyzes, and disseminates intelligence about police officers, child protection, and other justice system officials.  We maintain a “pointer database” [HERE] that acts as a macro-level repository of individuals, agencies, and incidents.  We then share connect qualified clients with complete and reliable sources of information.  The system integrates pieces of information from a wide variety of sources, some open and some not, and is designed to aid in the identification of key players, predictive intelligence, and insight critical to legal/communications initiatives.  Sun Tzu spoke of ‘knowing your enemy’, and this is exactly that.  Make a query request [HERE].

Analysis

We help cut through the noise, find the needle in the haystack, and make sense of the jargon.  Over time, the Foundation has become a repository of sorts for best practices.  We have also participated in the development of technologies to support families in crisis.  These tools and methods are passed along to our clients to aid in the gleaning of records, compilation of key players, and the sortation of narratives, reports, and raw data.  The goal is simple: bring structure to what feels chaotic, plot trajectories, plan for outcomes.  Reach out to discuss your requirements [HERE].
