Three gag orders have significantly changed the face of this website. They were all aimed at preventing further embarrassment to government, police, social services and the courts. They were all aimed at David and others at the Foundation. None of them did anything to serve I.O and I.F.
“It is the position of the Foundation that the imposition of publication bans and gag orders in this particular case is unwise, misguided and unenforceable. Some have estimated that by January, 2023, this site (in previous form and under “old management”) had been visited by over a million people, translated into more than six languages, and that it carried more than sixty thousand subscribers. Information about I.O, I.F and David, using their true identities, had been publicized in more than twelve countries. At its peak, this website was receiving more than two thousand e-mails a day. Furthermore, the evolution of this site has been chronicled by the Way Back Machine and attracted some serious support from the internet “hacktivist” group Anonymous. A simple Google search and you have it all. It may well be that the cat is out of the bag, no? Regardless, this edition of RUNNINGAWAY.CA has complied with, is complying with and shall comply with any all judicial orders, and we are required to encourage others to do the same.” – Statement of the Foundation
Judge Harold Porter
On Friday, April 28, 2023, judge Harold PORTER of the “Grand Bank Provincial Court” in Marystown, Newfoundland, made several orders but we can’t tell you what they are due to his publication ban.
Justice of the Peace Mary Shelley
On Tuesday, May 9 , 2023, justice of the peace Mary SHELLEY of the “Ontario Court of Justice” in Welland, Ontario, ordered, amongst other things, that the website RUNNINGAWAY.CA be taken down. There were a few issues with this, the first being that David had no control over that site as it had long ago been assumed by another group of Friends. The second being that the website was hosted offshore, in another country, and David did not have access. But pesky things like property rights and lawful jurisdiction matter little. Comply or prison.
A justice of the peace is not a judge. Most of them aren’t even lawyers. They are all political appointees. Justices of the peace earn about $172,000 per year, and some suggest that they are appointed to prevent them from entering into, or continuing, in politics.

In March, 2024, two of the four charges against David were “stayed,” so the orders imposed by justice of the peace Mary Shelly, which included orders to shut down this website, were no more. On that day, planning for the fourth incarnation of RUNNINGAWAY.CA began. According to Steps to Justice [stepstojustice.ca]: “Charges are stayed when a judge or a [prosecutor, a.k.a. “Crown”] decides that it would be bad for the justice system for the case to continue … stays can be granted when the state has acted unfairly …”
Judge Leanne Emma-Jane Standryk
On Thursday, July 27, 2023, judge Leanne Emma-Jane STANDRYK of the “Superior Court of Justice, Family Court Division” at St. Catharines, Ontario, imposed orders. Can you guess the next part? We can’t publish anything about them.
Compliance Measures
The following measures have been taken by Friends of Two Awesome Kids Foundation to ensure absolute compliance with the more than twenty individual orders made to date:
- First, the victims will be referred to as Immovable Object (I.O) and Irresistible Force (I.F), as these names really are fitting. Both are female, age fifteen (as of March, 2024); however, we will not publish their dates of birth or elaborate on physical descriptions. We may sometimes refer to them together as (the “girls”).
- Second, the loving and caring father of I.O and I.F will be identified merely as David in reference to the story David vs. Goliath, where a fairly simple man had the guts to stand up to and defeat a monster, Goliath, because it had to be done and nobody else would do it.
- Third, the paternal grandmother of I.O and I.F will be referred to as Adored Nana (A.N).
- Fourth, the biological mother (who did nothing to protect them from abuse) of I.O and I.F will be identified as Biological Mother (B.M), and her husband, the man who sexually abused I.O and I.F, as Pedophile Husband (P.H).
- Fifth, this organization has changed its name. The original name included the true given names of I.O and I.F. We are now known as the Friends of Two Awesome Kids Foundation, or (the “Foundation”). Those associated in some way with the Foundation are (the “Friends”).
- Finally, we will not connect the true identities of I.O and I.F to their current whereabouts or status, except and only as made in this limited and carefully worded statement.
I.O and I.F on Gag Orders
I.O and I.F are of the view that there is no shame in being a victim of child sexual abuse. There is no need to seal records, or keep quiet about it. Neither I.O nor I.F asked to have their names censored. In fact, censoring their names means that the names of their abusers, B.M and P.H, must also be censored – and the names of their loving family, David an A.N as well. They have only ever asked to be treated with dignity, to have their voices heard and to be protected – something the courts in Canada have entirely failed to do. However, I.O and I.F fully acknowledge that in Canada, things like power, control and hiding the truth is much more important than the safety and security of two young girls.
